The Quarters

Migration

Two to three weeks, running both.

Migration is included from the Growth plan up, not sold as a paid onboarding package. Charging you to leave a competitor is a strange way to start a relationship.

Comes across

  • Properties, with addresses and attributes
  • Photos, re-rendered into every size
  • Descriptions and amenities
  • Rates and deposits
  • Future reservations, with status
  • Guest records and contact details
  • As much booking history as you want

Does not, and why

  • Channel connections

We do not have a channel manager. If Airbnb matters to you, this is the conversation to have before migrating, not after.

  • Their message threads

Guest correspondence stays in Guesty. Export it there if you need it: it is your data, but it is not ours to pull.

  • Automations you built there

Email triggers get rebuilt here, usually in an afternoon and usually simpler.

  • Historic invoices

Your accounting is not our business to import. Keep the exports.

The sequence

Six steps, in this order.

  1. 1

    We pull your portfolio

    Day 1

Properties, addresses, photos, descriptions, amenities and rates come across from Guesty’s API. Photos are re-rendered into the four sizes a website needs, so nothing has to be re-uploaded by hand.

  2. 2

    You check it against reality

    Day 1–2

Portfolios drift. This is the step where you find the unit that was renamed in 2024 and the two that should have been archived. Better now than in month three.

  3. 3

    Reservations and guests follow

    Day 2

Every future booking, and as much history as you want. Dates, guests, amounts and status. Past reservations come across as records, not as things that will suddenly email anyone.

  4. 4

    Your lease becomes a template

    Day 2–3

The Word file you have been filling in by hand turns into a template with fields the reservation populates. This is usually the part that takes the longest and the part people are gladdest to be rid of.

  5. 5

    Run both for a fortnight

    Week 1–2

Keep Guesty live while you take real bookings here. Nobody sensible cuts over on a Friday afternoon on faith, and we’d rather you didn’t either.

  6. 6

Point the website here and stop paying them

    Week 2–3

Your site switches to our API, availability goes live, and you cancel. We will still be here if something surfaces in month two.

Worth saying plainly

We will tell you not to migrate if you should not.

If most of your nights come through Airbnb or Booking.com, The Quarters will make your life worse, and we’d rather say so on a call than collect three months of subscription while you work it out. That is not modesty. A customer who leaves angry costs more than one who never arrived.

Bring your Guesty account to the call

We’ll look at your actual portfolio and tell you what the move looks like: how long, what breaks, and whether it is worth doing at all.
